ASIACT Astrology - April 2008
The centre that I cannot find
Is known to my unconscious Mind;
I have no reason to despair
Because I am already there
In our every day life we have things to do and things to think about: our minds are cluttered with one thought after another -mainly about how we need to deal with our physical reality. We may have a long-term view of life, but we seem to get lost in the myriad of tasks and thoughts that occupy our time and our mind: we lose our focus and become scattered and ungrounded.
The word 'focus' is derived from Latin for hearth, flame and centre and is defined as 'a point at which rays of light converge or from which they appear to diverge'
Combining the two primaries, blue and yellow, form both green and red: the addition of pigment brings them together as green, the addition of light in the appropriate density brings them together as red.
The moment we realise we're on the spinning carousel of the mind, taking a deep breath helps us to come to a standstill: we become conscious of self (yellow) and we have the choice to relax our solar plexus - or 'spaghetti junction' as Vicky Wall called it. Trust (blue) arises and we are able to step back to let go of our endless preoccupation with the objects in our environment and we become more conscious of our inner space (green). In addition to being conscious of our perceptions, thoughts and emotions we now become aware of an alert inner stillness at the centre of our being. From here we find focus, our inner flame (red) - not only are we then conscious of objects, we become conscious of being conscious.
Using any of the thirteen bottles with red as a fraction could support us to remain a little detached so that we are able to find a balance between the spiritual and the physical world. Red in an Aura-Soma sense is integrating our being and our body so that we may find a focus that involves both.
Bottle 6, The Energy Bottle, red/red, 'like the lovers in the tarot, connotes unification, or the principles of male and female coming together.' The Aura-Soma Sourcebook, Mike Booth with Carol McKnight. The vibrant red content of this bottle supports us to free our self from the dependency on the things of this world, from materialism and materiality. Our energy is released so that we are able to allow the love that overflows from the heart to the world in abundance.
As we become more focussed and less consumed by survival issues, when we conclude that what we seek is not without, we create abundant energy to fulfil our goals, uplifting us toward the light.
Love lifts us toward the consciousness of clarity.
