ASIACT Astrology - March 2009
You do not have to walk on your knees
For a hundred miles through the desert repenting
You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves
As soon as we rise above mere survival, the question of meaning and purpose gain importance. It is essential to have an outer purpose but by grace, through the love from above, we one day sense that there is more – that we have an inner purpose.
Our inner purpose is to awaken. Awakening is a shift in consciousness in which our thinking and our awareness separate: awareness is the space in which our thoughts exist when that space has become conscious of itself.
With growing awareness we pay attention to everything we do; every act becomes conscious: when the doing itself becomes the focal point of our attention, our doing becomes a channel through which consciousness enters this world. There is quality in what we do, even in the simplest act such as turning the pages of a book or washing our hands. This embodies the magenta process in Aura-Soma.
The first bottle in which magenta appears is Bottle 25, called Florence Nightingale, purple/magenta. Through her selfless dedication The Lady With The Lamp changed the face of nursing during the influenza epidemic of 1837 by paying attention to detailed cleanliness, service and 'love from a divine source put into attentive care'. The Aura-Soma Sourcebook (According to the ancients the name of the number 25 is the Inner-most.)
Gaining consciousness and enlightenment is a process forever unfolding – there is circle after circle, a perpetual process of inward turning and downward spinning into the heart. It is Ariadne’s magic thread that we follow down into the heart of the labyrinth. And who dwells at the heart of the labyrinth? The Minotaur, the monster that lives within and must be faced.
In the fullness of time the circle gets wider and wider and includes more and more – not only awareness of the world, but more awareness of our self and this is a lifetime of process moving into the light.
The deep magenta found in the base fraction of eight bottles appears black: it contains all of the colours, representing the complex patterns that lie in the subconscious and even in the unconscious mind. Any of these bottles could support us to own those parts of us we like least so that we are able to be less judgemental of our humanness and know our interconnectedness with the rest of humankind.
The keynote for Bottle 89, Energy Rescue or The Time Shift, red/deep magenta says it all: A time shift, a gateway to a new understanding and a new possibility toward enthusiastic well-being.
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,
the world offers itself to your imagination,
calls to you like the wild geese, harsh and exciting--
over and over announcing your place
in the family of things
