ASIACT Astrology - June 2009
Mind the Gap
For it is Life, the very Life of Life.
In its brief course lie all the
Verities and Realities of your Existence.
The Bliss of Growth,
The Glory of Action,
The Splendor of Beauty;
For Yesterday is but a Dream,
And To-morrow is only a Vision;
But To-day well lived makes
Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness,
And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope
All emotional and mental pain that we experience leaves behind a residue of disturbance that lives on within us. Accumulated pain is a negative energy field that occupies our body and our mind. Anything can trigger it, particularly when it resonates with a pain pattern from the past.
Orange in an Aura-Soma sense has to do with the acceptance and release of trauma or the pain patterns from the past. It is a secondary colour made up of red (survival and awakening) and yellow (knowledge and the mind). Applying any one of the four bottles that contains orange can assist us to understand (yellow) and to let go of past pain where we created fractured pieces in our mind.
Mind is not just thought: mind includes our emotions and all our mental-emotional reactive patterns; emotions are the body’s reaction to our mind. The more we are identified with our thinking, the stronger the emotional charge will be. Emotion literally means ‘disturbance’ (Latin=emovere meaning to disturb). Emotions are part of the dualistic mind and are subject to the law of opposites and the belief that you cannot have good without bad – the pleasure/pain principle that forever leads to loss.
Putting ourselves together again is what Bottle 26, Etheric Rescue/The Humpty Dumpty Bottle, orange/orange is all about: in the event of trauma, the true aura which lies in the golden centre of gravity within the body, slips towards the etheric gap located on the left side between the lowest rib and the pelvic area. Using B26 minds the gap so that the true aura may return to its rightful place.
Orange supports us to step back and become increasingly conscious by awakening the non-judgmental watcher and as a result a sense of our own presence - which is not a thought but the witness of the thought. By becoming the observer we pay attention to every step, every body movement, especially to our breath, and so create a gap in the torrent of our mind.
A combination of love (red) and joy (yellow) is bliss (orange). These positive emotions are inseparable from our natural state of interconnectedness with being and arise whenever a gap occurs in our stream of thought; within the inner stillness there is a subtle but intense joy, there is love and there is peace (blue, complementary to orange).
Bottle 4, Sunlight Bottle, yellow/ gold, messages that 'we have great strength and knowledge in the conscious mind and (yellow) and an immense wisdom (gold) within our depths'. The Aura-Soma Sourcebook
The return journey in Bottle 82, Calypso, green/orange takes it one step further as it holds out the hope (shaken as olive) that the insights will be revealed as we make space for ourselves culminating in the revelation of the deepest joy coming from the heart – keynote for Bottle 82.
Bottle 79, The Ostrich Bottle, violet/orange, signifies the return journey of the archetypal Magician and is the last bottle in the range with orange as a fraction. Ostriches are deaf to any allurement when they have their heads in the sand and this bottle suggests the total concentration for reaching our spiritual goal. The invitation from this colour combination is: 'Let me take your hand. Let me show you the way. Let me heal the hurt in the depths of your soul. Come to me that we may learn detachment together.'
