ASIACT Astrology - February 2010
When you don’t follow your nature, there is a hole in the universe where you were supposed to be
As we midwife the Age of Aquarius into being, we are experiencing powerful change at all levels of our being. We are in the process of making a dimensional shift from the limited perception of duality to a collective awareness of our inherent divinity and interconnectedness. The spotlight is on our personal and collective destiny – what we desire to express as individuals and what we are choosing to experience as humankind.
The emblem of this Age is the water bearer, who kneels as he pours forth the offering of water in an act of modest service and perhaps our greatest challenge now is to shift our identity from our ego to our essence.
In Aura-Soma there are twenty-three bottles with violet as one of the fractions. Violet is a secondary colour made up of primary blue and primary red, and (together with our conscious intent) combines the trust in blue with the detachment within red to support the transfiguration we are living through.
Our spiritual journey is portrayed in the myth of the Holy Grail: the quest for Self, figuring out who we really are, necessitates forsaking the familiar. We must leave home; we must transcend our conditioning and our tribal thinking. After many trials, tribulations and transformations, we return, sharing from the heart what we have gained, so catalysing collective changes. Fitting then that Bottle 24, violet/turquoise is called A New Message: not only is our personal journey 'a journey from alienation through inner contemplation and self-development to more integration' it is a journey towards taking our place on the rostrum of life. 'In Turquoise/Violet, the creativity of turquoise is offered in service to bring the New Message, the new point of view, creatively into the world.' The Aura-Soma Sourcebook
Aquarius means 'pertaining to water' and much of its symbolic significance emerges from the water bearer’s libation: free-flowing water clears, purifies, refreshes and makes whole again. As Masaru Emoto writes: 'All life flows with the flow of water.'
In Bottle 48, Wings of Change, violet/clear, we have all the colours involved with expressing the service of the Light: the crown above the head is represented by violet, the clear fraction contains all the colours - translating as understanding of the clarity of Light: 'The communication of the Light happens through appropriate service in the world.' Mike Booth.
As we consciously wing into a butterfly, we reveal the Light within; we become a spiritual presence.
The brighter the light, the darker the shadow; there lives within each of us an invisible, untamed spirit - that part of us that needed to be suppressed to run an orderly household. It requires enormous faith (blue) and focus (red) to break free of the chains that bind us to old survival patterns and outdated ways of thinking. Bottle 15, Service in the New Aeon, clear/violet supports us to bring to light and accept all that we had to bury in, what we believed to be, the dungeon of our heart. We also nurture Self by discovering what it is we can truly trust in ourselves.
In the twenty-two archetypes depicted in the tarot cards, Bottle 15 relates to The Devil, representing bondage to a world of duality so denying the spirit. The return journey of this card is Bottle 93, Hansel, pale coral/turquoise. The pale coral in the top fraction connotes the ability to step back from self so that we are able to go beyond duality and foster a belief in justice, natural law and universal love.
We are alive at a pivotal time on Earth. It is exciting and challenging, as we learn how to honour our own individuality, our unique gifts and mission, and our interconnectedness. Hold in your heart that 'Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.' T. S. Eliot
