Standing on the Shoulders of Our Ancestors
Hard to take out of the flesh that is bred in the bone...
There is an ancient Chinese philosophy that we all stand on the shoulders of our ancestors: part of who we are comes from the abilities and the sacrifices of those who came before us. What happened in prior generations, the wars, the oppression, the lording over others, is part of our heritage and spurs us on towards discovering our core self.
On the colour wheel, orange lies between primary red and tertiary gold, not only carrying the messages of both but collaborating to bring vibrancy to our entire rainbow body: red is about finding our ground, a ground fertile with our awakening to our destiny; within the gold is contained our true aura, our true essence, containing the genetic lineages of both our parents and thus of all our ancestors.
Assembling the energies of red and gold, the orange frequency therefore unlocks experiences (not always those we expect) that unearth our true self - leaving it up to us to utilise the insights we make along the way to steer us towards our destiny.
Bottle 26, Humpty Dumpty or the Etheric Rescue, orange/orange supports us to retrieve the whole of who we are through a growing understanding of how our earthly circumstances reveal the core theme of our life. Bottle 26 is aligned with the Page of Wands (fire), representing the Age of Innocence – its gifts and its perils. Yes, we have to deal with our insecurities, our immaturities and the woundings of our ancestors, but our ability to achieve our destiny is also found in our heritage.
In the Aura-Soma tarot card the Page of Wands stares wistfully into the fire: the observer, reflecting on his strengths and weaknesses which will direct him through his adult life. Becoming aware of our natural gifts and talents provides us with a hint of our Right Way.
As we enter the Age of Aquarius, we are becoming increasingly aware of our connection to each other and to the earth. Often those closest to us have sought to control and steer us away from the route we are destined to take. At times it is done with questionable intentions but more often than not it is motivated by love and protection and those are the most difficult bindings to transform.
We can hide our true feelings like Pagliacci, the Sad Clown, the name of Bottle 72, blue/orange, we can hide our heads in the sand like an ostrich, Bottle 79, orange/violet is called The Ostrich Bottle, or we can use the contents of any of the four bottles with orange as a fraction to help us understand how, as part of our ancestry, we created the perfect laboratory to become more conscious of our essential self. Perhaps our quest has been to gain insight into how love could turn to hopelessness or why suffering coloured our entire life?
The orange in the Aura-Soma bottles is there to support us to not waste time with an old, redundant script but to distil the wisdom from the sum of our life’s experiences to go forth and to realise our soul’s unique contribution.
It is the time of resurrection,
the time of eternity.
It is the time of generosity,
the sea of lavish splendour.
The treasure of gifts has come,
its shining has flamed out.
See, the rose garden of love
Is rising from the world’s agony.
