Coral Pomander

‘Interdependence is and ought to be as much the ideal of man as self-sufficiency. Man is a social being. Without interrelation with society he cannot realize his oneness with the universe or suppress his egotism. His social interdependence enables him to test his faith and to prove himself on the touchstone of reality’ - Mahatma Ghandi

The coral pomander stimulates the wisdom of sensitivity and receptivity, of cooperation, sharing and interdependence. Regular use helps us to pass by our self concepts and doubts about our worthiness to give and receive love. It supports us to reach a new depth where we find the positive beliefs about our self.

The keynote of this pomander is to learn how to love and care in a new way – to apply our spiritual beliefs in a practical way. It is invaluable in supporting us to become truly responsive to our self and to others and to find joy in the little things. It may therefore help us to bring about a relationship with reality in which we actually experience life as enlivening, full of enjoyment and connection. It is from this place we can truly give and receive.

Very often we live with the past directing the present; the coral may assist our positive future to direct our present moment. This allows us to move forward with effortless effort, in tune with the unfolding process of life. Spontaneous, helpful occurrences become a natural part of life - both the coral and the orange pomanders have this effect.

We are able to become more childlike: to live a life of wonder and to feel the thrill of discovery, to trust that good things are coming our way. Grasping and possessing (dependency) is traded for love and integrity and a desire to live in harmony with all creation. Increasingly we are able to live more simply from the heart and from a sense of responsibility for the life of the earth.

Curiously, the coral pomander is helpful for the relief of altitude sickness.
