ASIACT Astrology - August 2017

Heading underline

‘What is being asked here is for us to embody our own star consciousness. That is to say the star of your own being is rising. This is a unique and auspicious time to be seen in the world and to emerge as a conscious teacher of something that this life has taught you. You have wonderful things to share. Do not hold back’ - Christopher Stuart

What if our incarnation on Earth were a challenge we chose, a game our spirit enjoys playing? The Sun in Leo for most of August invites us to remember the true goal in life: to discover, explore and to express our unique emanation of the Divine. Our parents have their hopes and dreams for us, culture instils its mores, our digital environment bombards us with even more messages about what is desirable. It takes true courage to find our true self: it takes will, it takes heart. Leo is ruled by the Sun, the light that represents what fires us up, what fuels us, what makes our life sunny? Where and how our Sun wants to shine is detailed by its house location and aspects. Although it is immeasurably helpful to have an insight into the soul map astrology provides, there’s a way to stay on track for everyone: be mindful of what lights you up, what makes you smile and feel glad to be alive? Placing zodiac signs on the twelve colours of the Aura-soma colour rose, colours Leo yellow. There are 14 bottles in the Aura-Soma range with at least one yellow fraction. Any of these bottles could support us to dispel any fear and enable us to joyfully understand self better and even share our experiences with the like-minded. Bottle 4, The Sunlight Bottle, yellow/gold, could support us to access ‘the depths of our joy as our inner wisdom is revealed’. Equilibrium Research Cards. Choosing a yellow bottle could also remind us that we have a responsibility to allow the Light to infiltrate and brighten our entire being.

This August is probably the most important month of the year as far as celestial phenomena (and thus life challenges and the insights they proffer) are concerned: both Mercury (mind) and Uranus (higher mind) turn retrograde, Saturn, Our Master Trainer, turns direct and we will experience a Lunar and a Total Solar Eclipse. The Solar Eclipse occurs on the 21st at 28° Leo and, like all Solar Eclipses, signals the close of a major phase of our life and the opportunity to take what we have learned to the next level. As the Moon blocks the light of the Sun, the energetic architecture of our Earth is reshaped, revealing new pathways and possibilities, in some way we are all rebooted. Every 18-19 years Solar Eclipses occur close to the same degree; in August 1998 there was an eclipse on 29° Leo. What were the themes of your life then? How can you use the experiences of that time to create what suits your being now? The Sabian Symbol for the degree of the Solar Eclipse this year (there is a symbol for each degree of the zodiac): A mermaid emerges from the ocean waves ready for rebirth in human form and Dane Rudhyar explains that ‘our intense feeling-intuition rising from the unconscious is about to take form as a conscious thought’. Perhaps we are being more finely attuned to our soul-nature and its mission on this earth-plane, for only in this way will we be able to stay grounded while at the same time maintaining a sense of mystery. What does this symbol mean to you?

The accompanying Lunar Eclipse happens on the 7th at 15° 25′ Aquarius compelling us to speed up, not only our individuation process, but our sense of connectedness to the Greater Whole. The gift of Aquarius is the gift of seeing the bigger picture, of being able to stand back and glimpse the view from up high and reconnecting with the universe and humanity. The gift of aloneness in which we can, paradoxically, be in silent communion with the universe. Using Bottle 43, Creativity, turquoise/turquoise could create for us ‘The possibility to transcend the separation of self, embracing the collective.’ Equilibrium Research Cards.

Very close to the Solar eclipse, on the 25th to be exact, Saturn, Our Master Trainer turns direct on 21° 10’ Sagittarius. Saturn represents reality checks, the bounds of time and space, so to speak. Saturn in Sagittarius Has been challenging us to cultivate faith and broaden our understanding of our place in the Greater Whole, to mould our life so that we live our belief system. In placing the twelve zodiac signs on the colour rose converts Sagittarius to blue and aligns to Bottle 50, El Morya: ‘Thy will not my will. Allowing communication from above to come through the self.’ This is Saturn’s final passage across the last nine degrees of Sagittarius and probably marks the birth of what was hinted at in January when Saturn traversed these degrees for the first time - any longer-term project would now probably complete or at least become workable. The more challenging result would be that we might finally have to let go of antiquated or non-productive relationships, projects or activities. Vicky Wall ascribed Bottle 63, Djwal Khul and Hilarion, emerald green/pale green to Saturn – two masters working together to support us to cross the threshold and embrace a new direction.

Bottle 75

On the 3rd Uranus, The Awakener, turns retrograde at 28° 31′ Aries. Uranus is about shaping our individuality, a celestial alarm clock, awakening us (sometimes rudely) to the aspects within our nature which have been lying dormant and untried. Yeratel is the Guardian Angel for this day and pertains to Bottle 75, Go With the Flow, magenta/turquoise - a bottle that Vicky ascribed to Uranus as it could support us to find new and accelerated ways to progress on our way to greater consciousness. (The Guardian Angels and their degrees are part of a workshop offered by Mike Booth called 72 Angels of the Kabbalah). Mike once wrote about Bottle 75: ‘Sometimes it requires an immense discipline to just do the next then next; to bring our quality into whatever it is that needs to be expressed: this is the true leader, someone who demonstrates what could be.’ This message is underlined by Mercury that joins the retrograde fray on the 13th and re-traces his steps between 11° Virgo and 29° Leo (only turning to go ahead on 4 September). Mercury retrograde favours right brain activity which is more reflective and inward-turned and the exasperating events that disrupt even the best laid plans while Mercury is retrograde, may be a call to stop and pay attention to our inner world rather than the outer. Mercury is all about our perceptions and while The Trickster (as Mercury is sometimes called) seemingly reverses, it may be a good idea to keep in mind that the heart of communication lies in recognising that present pain is rooted in the past: the more primitive our response, the deeper the wounding. Feeling our feelings with a willingness to let them go rather than howling with outrage, eventually allows us to understand the origins of our pain. Forthrightness in relationships is part of this month’s challenge: if we attempt to escape from emotional responsibilities they might surface later with increased complications.

Our evolutionary impetus is being stepped up and there is an urgency for us to actualise our potential for individuation in harmony with our divine purpose: to embrace every moment so that we are able to hear our inner voice, and play our note in the celestial Chord.
